Shirodhara is a deeply relaxing Ayurvedic treatment where a continuous stream of warm medicated oil or herbal decoction is gently poured over the forehead (specifically the ‘third eye’ area). The word Shiro means head, and Dhara means flow.

🧠 How It Works

  • The client lies on a wooden therapy table with a special Shirodhara stand.
  • A brass or clay pot, suspended above the forehead, releases a gentle, steady stream of warm oil onto the center of the forehead.
  • Duration: 30 to 45 minutes
  • Oils or liquids are selected based on dosha imbalance (Vata, Pitta, or Kapha).
